Pet of the Week – Carter Let’s start 2011 off with a bang by getting Carter into a new home this week! He is a very active and playful, one year old neutered male Lab mix, about 45 lbs, great with other dogs and just a happy go lucky boy. So are you energetic enough to keep up with Carter? Our adoption fee for dogs is $100 and for cats is $80 which completely covers the mandatory spay or neuter, basic immunizations, de-worming, microchip, heartworm check for dogs, rabies vaccination if old enough, and a free health exam. Pet-of-the-Week Jeremy is a five-month old little guy who is just adorable with his short stubby legs. His mom looked like a Golden Retriever on short legs, and we think dad was a Labrador. He is about 15-20 lbs, very playful, great with dogs and cats and just loves everyone! Pet-of-the-Week Yosti is a six month old smaller Hound/Lab mix who is only about 30 lbs and was turned in for chasing the neighbors chickens. He is housetrained, loves everyone and is just a wonderful little guy who needs a home full of toys to keep him happy. Yosti’s adoption fee is $100 which covers his neuter, basic immunizations, de-worming, microchip, heartworm check for dogs, rabies vaccination if old enough, and a free health exam. And our cats and kittens still have a reduced adoption fee of $40 which still covers all of the normal adoption benefits. Trudy is a seven month old smaller Shepherd/Husky mix looking gal who is just a sweet dog of about 35 lbs that needs a family to call her own. She has been with us for too long now which we don't understand as she is as cute as she can be, loves the water, is great with other dogs and is just a wonderful girl. Trudy’s adoption fee is $100 which covers her spay, basic immunizations, de-worming, microchip, heartworm check for dogs, rabies vaccination if old enough, and a free health exam. And right now our cat and kitten adoption fee has been reduced to $40 which still covers all of the normal adoption benefits. Pet-of-the-Week Hank is a two-three year old Beagle mix boy that is about 30 lbs, great with other dogs and just a very typical happy and talkative hound. Hank has a very melodious hound bay, which could be a bit much for close neighbors, but great for those who appreciate a great Beagle voice. Pet of the Week Meet Ben! Ben is one of those Black Labs everyone talks about that never get a home. I am determined to prove everyone wrong and so are the folks at the shelter. I am about five months old & around 40 lbs. I am just a great dog who loves everyone, gets along great with other dogs, and thinks having a family of my own would be beyond cool!! The shelter even said they would reduce my adoption fee to help get me a home - not just any home, but a really good home.
