Lola is a very sweet, one year old female kitty in need of a home. She loves attention and is trying to tell everyone – ME, take ME home! Our adoption fee for cats is $80 and or dogs is $100 which completely covers the mandatory spay or neuter, basic immunizations, de-worming, microchip, heartworm check for dogs, rabies vaccination if old enough, and a free health exam. We are open for adoptions Mon-Thu 10-4, Fri 10-5 and Sat from 9-3.

Humane Society of Elmore County News – 15 Dec ‘08

Have you been so busy that you haven’t been able to get your pet for his/her photo with Santa? Well, don’t despair as you have another opportunity this weekend since we will be back at the Prattville PETsMART this Sat and Sun, 20 & 21 Dec, from 11-4 each day. Hope to see lots of wagging doggy tails and calm kitties this weekend!

Saturday was cold, but certainly still a great day for the Millbrook Christmas Parade and we know our staff and volunteers had a great time waving to the crowds from our float. Humane Society of Elmore County News – 29 Sep ‘08

What a great day! That easily sums up Sunday’s Bark in the Park 2008! It was a gorgeous day with hundreds of people and their pets and just a great time had by all. While Bark in the Park is a fund-raising event for our shelter, it is also a celebration of the bond between all of us animal lovers and our pets. There aren’t many venues where over 800 people and likely 300-400 pets can come together for an afternoon of such fun.
